Meditation comes in many forms and in today’s world, it is being incorporated into prisons, corporations, and just about every other arena you can think of. Why? Because- it works. However, you don’t need to sit for hours. There are techniques you can use that assist you quickly and efficiently. We’ll learn some of those techniques that you can carry with you everywhere, using them when needed.
Join me for a special student event designed for upper elementary and middle school students featuring a book talk and signing. Following the talk, student groups will have the opportunity to explore the galleries using self-guide activities specially designed to support students in linking themes and ideas presented by the books with art in the DIA's collection.
Author William (Bill) Meyer will be celebrating the release of his second book in the Time Keeper series, “The Search for the Lost Prophecy” at the Scarab Club in Detroit on October 28th from 1 to 4pm. All are welcome! The program will begin at 2pm. There will be a reading, a book signing, a raffle, and much more… His knowledge of the ancient world, Detroit’s history, and engaging speaking style will make the book launch an unforgettable one.

I'm excited to announce that I will be running a series of author talks and book signings at the DIA for school groups on March 23rd and 24th.
I'm excited to announce my presentation at the New York State Reading Association on Monday, November 14th at 3:30 pm. The presentation is titled "King Tut and the Mysteries of Ancient Egypt: Reimagining the teaching of Social Studies through literature in the Elementary School Classroom."
On October 15th, I will be hosting an all-day workshop for teachers and parents at the Detroit Institute of Arts on Ancient Egypt, the museum's exhibits, and The Secret of the Scarab Beetle. There will be a ton of handouts, worksheets, and ideas to create curriculum for all ages.
Very excited to be signing copies of "The Secret of the Scarab Beetle" at Anderson's Book Shop in Larchmont, NY with other local authors.
